A client’s story: Shifting Energy, Boundaries, and Body Image

I’m happy to be able to share a client’s story with you today.

So often these stories are confidential, but Rebecca Greene is a writer and podcast host herself, and even wrote a blog post about her experience with me, which you can find here.
I asked if I could write about her experience as well and she agreed without hesitation.

Rebecca came to me feeling overwhelmed by the demands of life, struggling with body image, and finding it difficult to set clear boundaries in both her personal and professional life.
In our 1 session, we were able to work through these challenges, bringing her back into alignment with her true self.

(I want to note that Rebecca had worked on creating the clarity of intention for the work she wanted to do in our 90 minutes together. This clarity and focus meant we could dive in quick and clear things fast. It’s not always that way, sometimes it takes a few sessions to get through the layers. However, Rebecca came in knowing exactly what she wanted and the session was such a joyful ride!)

Here’s Rebecca’s Story:

Rebecca had been feeling like she wasn’t doing enough. She was juggling multiple roles, working around the clock to support her family and her husband’s business. She had a hard time recognizing just how much she was already doing, often undervaluing her contributions.

She told me, “I work for my husband more than I think I do… blogging, vlogging, podcasting, newsletters, consulting. I use my social work skills with his company almost every day, and I’ve been giving myself zero credit for it.”

Through our session, Rebecca came to realize just how much she was already contributing; not just as a partner at home but also in her work. This realization was the first step in empowering her to see herself as a true partner, worthy of recognition for the work she was already doing.

Shifting Her Perspective on Body Image:

Rebecca’s desire for a healthier body was also a big part of our work together. Like many of us, she struggled with self-criticism when it came to her physical appearance. She wanted to feel good in her body and be a positive role model for her children.

I shared with Rebecca an important principle: “Where attention goes, energy flows.” The way we view our bodies, whether focusing on what we dislike or appreciating what’s thriving, directly impacts how we feel and what we manifest. Therefore, focusing on the things she loved about herself would empower her body to respond in kind.

“As I’m working out, I’m thanking my body and telling it, ‘I’m doing it!’ As I do arm weights, I focus on my biceps. Wherever our attention goes, our energy flows, and it makes things happen.”

Rebecca also started paying attention to the progress she was making, rather than obsessing over the things she wanted to change. She began to notice and celebrate the improvements in her body, which by all reports, has been fueling her continued progress.

The Power of Boundaries:

One of the most significant shifts Rebecca made was in setting better boundaries. She realized that her energy was often “leaking,” and that she was giving too much of herself without filling her own cup first. In the last part of our session we focused on clearing these energetic cords and helping Rebecca protect her personal energy.

I shared with her that “boundaries are set with intentions rather than actions.” By grounding herself and intentionally taking care of her energy field, Rebecca was able to create a more balanced relationship with herself and others.

Rebecca’s Final Words:

“I feel so much lighter, more in control, and I now understand the importance of boundaries. This experience truly transformed the way I see myself, my body, and my work. I can’t recommend Christina enough!”

Take the Next Step:

Rebecca’s story is a great reminder how we normalise feeling less than we are and with a few shifts you can easily step into your light and claim who you came to be. If Rebecca’s story resonates with you, and you’re ready to clear up what has been holding back from feeling true to yourself, I invite you to book a session with me. I would love to support you in being true to who you came to be and who you really are.

Thank you for reading, and I hope Rebecca’s story inspires you to take that next step in your own life.
